A 3 day norther is predicted to begin tonight or tomorrow, with winds of 25-35 knots. So, it’s safe to say that we won’t be leaving anytime soon. Boat work has been going well over the last few days & we are pretty much ready to go.
But, with the announcement of this Norther, our focus changed from leaving, to getting the boat ready for the blow here. Today we filled our water tanks (over 200 gallons onboard), tied down everything on deck & stowed all loose items. We also hiked to the local store & bought a few days of fresh meat, veggies & a few beer.
So, again.. the North wind will blow & we will be safely tied to our trusty mooring buoy!
Once this weather softens, we will again look for a 3 day window for our passage across to Mazatlan.
In other news, I have a bunch of how-to type articles that I have been working on & hope to get them online shortly, maybe they will help out others who are planning to do what we are doing.
We’re currently onshore at the cruisers lounge & looking out the window shows an ever increasing wind, so goodbye for now.
